Officer Duties

MSCI will be holding elections at the general membership meeting on May 17, 2024. Below is the slate of this year’s candidates (when available) and voting instructions.

As a member in good standing, you may vote in ONE of three ways:

1. Vote in person. Cast your vote at the annual membership meeting on Friday May 17, 2024 in the Capital Club at the Grand Hotel Mackinac Island.
2. Vote by proxy. You must notify, in writing, the MSCI election officer of your desire to give someone who is attending the membership meeting your proxy. You can do this by emailing MSCI at michiganspeechcoachesinc@gmail.com,  or sending a written proxy with the person who will vote for you. The person who has your proxy must be a member in good standing. Proxies need to be submitted to the election officer by 3:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024. NOTE: First-time members are not allowed to vote via proxy.

1. Vote by absentee ballot. You may vote absentee by requesting a ballot from the MSCI.  Ballots may be request after the slate is set.  Ballot requests can be obtained by emailing michiganspeechcoachesinc@gmail.com.  You will be emailed a unique link to an online ballot. Absentee ballots are NOT anonymous. Ballots must be submitted by NOON Friday May 17, 2024.

The deadline for nominations is 11:59 pm of the Wednesday following MIFA IE States


If you miss the deadline:
You may still nominate a person for any open position from the floor at the General meeting.
