Mackinac Professional Development GrantIn an effort to increase participation at the MSCI Spring Conference and Tournament, MSCI has decided to award Mackinac grants to ACTIVE HEAD DEBATE, FORENSICS, THEATRE, and POETRY SLAM COACHES in MICHIGAN. Who qualifies for this grant? Active head debate and forensics coaches from a Michigan high school or middle school that has not attended/participated in the MSCI Spring Conference and Tournament on Mackinac Island since 2015 or has no history of participation. What does the grant pay for? Be MSCI’s guest at the Grand Hotel. This option requires the coach to share a room with another single, same gender adult or pay in full for a guest to attend. What is covered? Dinner on Friday, Breakfast on Saturday, Dinner on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday Your stay at the Grand Hotel on Friday and Saturday Night All of the weekend’s events including the Evening of Champions, Professional Development Workshops, and the Guest of Honor Reception. What is required of me? Coaches receiving this grant MUST: Join the Organization (First Year Membership is Free) Attend the General Membership Meeting Attend the Evening of Champions Attend one PD Workshop or Spend One Shift in the Tab Room Agree to have your photo taken for publication |
